Standard Solar helps forward Goodwill of the Valleys’ commitment to environmental and operational sustainability
Standard Solar funded and now owns and operates this 547.92 kW rooftop solar array developed in partnership with RER Group for Goodwill Industries of the Valleys. Located on the Goodwill Roanoke Jobs Campus building in Roanoke, Virginia, the system is projected to cover 90% of the facility’s electricity needs, providing a long-term solution for the organization’s rising energy costs.
The array allows Goodwill of the Valleys to operate in an environmentally sustainable manner and helps forward its mission to bring job training to those who need it the most. This Goodwill joins a number of other Goodwills across the country making the leap to solar.
The system was an ideal partnership for Standard Solar and RER Group given that both firms are committed to leveraging the power of solar to strengthen communities by increasing their sustainability and resiliency.
